The seals and bearings in a New Holland TT4.80 form a critical part of the tractor’s drivetrain, axles, and ancillary systems, ensuring smooth rotation, maintaining alignment, and preventing fluid leakage. Bearings—such as tapered roller bearings, ball bearings, or plain bearings—are used on shafts, axles, and gearsets to support radial and axial loads, reduce friction, and enable efficient torque transmission. Seals (lip seals, radial shaft seals, O-rings, gaskets) are placed at interfaces where shafts enter housings or at joints between components to keep lubricating oil in and contaminants (dirt, water) out. During overhaul or repair, all gaskets, seals, and O-rings are replaced to avoid future leaks.
